Artist Talk at ZKM
Artist and artwork are connected in a very special way – they have a relationship with one another, almost like humans. Especially when it comes to moving and interactive artworks combined with artificial intelligence, we tend to associate them with living creatures. With these new characteristics of technologies we'll need to rethink our understanding of »life« and discuss possible forms of cohabitation between organic and artificial forms of life.
So ZKM's new series Art me Anything they decided to ask the artists of the ZKM exhibitions random questions about life and technology – like, “How do you define whether something is alive?“ or “Would you upload your mind to a cloud?“.
In the first clip Andrea Anner and Thibault Brevet (AATB) present their interactive artwork Handshake which is part of the exhibition BioMedia and presented Fri, April 1 – Sun, July 31, 2022 at EnBW Karlsruhe and from August 18 at Triangel Open Space in Karlsruhe.
