Orbital Solutions

During Meta Marathon, AATB has been developing a new kinetic piece involving a robotic arm. Investigating the ability of robots to precisely move objects in time and space, the work is mimicking the movements of a cluster of stars orbiting close of the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy. Invisible to us, its presence is only revealed by the trajectory of each star as they sling close by. The public was able to see the project evolve from crude initial test to finished artwork.
