Pop Up Astronomy

Pop-Up Astronomy is a project initiated by a London based fellow hobby astronomer from studio Super/Collider, that we brought to the South of France. Since a couple of years we have been running informal astronomical observation events, but instead of bringing people to specific locations dedicated to astronomy, we brought a telescope where people were; right in the city, at exhibition openings. It is creating this interesting moment of surprise, peeking into the eyepiece and suddenly facing the Moon or Jupiter, while holding a beer.
