Pop Up Astronomy

Pop-Up Astronomy is a project started by a London-based fellow amateur astronomer from studio Super/Collider, which AATB brought to the South of France. For several years AATB has run informal observation evenings: instead of taking people to places built for astronomy, the studio brings a telescope to where people already are, in the city, at exhibition openings. It is creating this interesting moment of surprise, peeking into the eyepiece and suddenly facing the Moon or Jupiter, while holding a beer.
