Ultramateria
ULTRAMATERIA transformed Collini's new industrial hall into a four-day laboratory for immersive installations, performances, and critical discourse at the intersection of art, technology, and society, with a curatorial focus on artificial intelligence, sustainability, and materiality.
AATB presented void avoid (return nothing) and a single dog from Spare Pack. void avoid (return nothing) consists of two circular screens mounted on industrial robotic arms — the restless eyes of a melancholic artificial entity that seeks human connection yet withdraws whenever direct eye contact threatens to occur.
Spare Pack imagines a near future in which fleets of robot dogs, once patrolling industrial sites, are rendered obsolete and left to roam abandoned spaces as feral packs. At ULTRAMATERIA a single dog was roaming around.
AATB also took part in the festival's panel discussions.
